Bran

Bran is a settlement in southern Transylvania, between the Bucegi and Piatra Craiului mountains. It stands at the northern end of the Rucăr–Bran Pass, linking Transylvania and Wallachia. Medieval Bran Castle rises above the settlement and recalls the protection of an old trading route. Mountain slopes, traditional houses and the fortress shape this Carpathian destination’s distinctive character.
