Black Church, Brașov

The Black Church is the large Gothic church in Brașov’s historic centre, beside Council Square. Built by the Transylvanian Saxons during the Middle Ages, it belongs to the Evangelical Lutheran community. Its high roof and stone architecture form one of the city’s most recognisable silhouettes. The exterior provides a striking introduction to Brașov’s Saxon heritage during a walking tour.
