Șchei Gate, Brașov
Șchei Gate was built in 1827–1828 where Brașov’s fortified centre meets the Șchei district. Its classical stone and brick structure has three openings: a wider central arch and two smaller pedestrian passages. Catherine’s Gate stands nearby. Seen together, the two gateways illustrate how access to the medieval town changed as the city developed.
