Arch of Triumph – Bucharest

The Arch of Triumph stands in northern Bucharest beside Kiseleff Road. The present stone monument, designed by architect Petre Antonescu, was inaugurated in 1936. It recalls Romanian independence and the country’s experience of the First World War. In programme E7, the arch is one of the landmarks on the capital’s panoramic tour.
