Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1

Departure from Serdika Bus Station, Sofia, at 06:00, following the route Sofia – Pleven – Ruse – Bucharest. Boarding is available in Pleven and Ruse. Optional return transfer from Plovdiv for a supplement of 23 euros, with a minimum of 10 participants.

Arrival in Bucharest, Romania’s capital, known as “Little Paris”. Panoramic coach tour, taking in Unirii, Victory and Revolution Squares, the Patriarchate, the Arch of Triumph, the Athenaeum and the Boulevard of Embassies. Photo stop outside the imposing Palace of Parliament, one of the world’s largest administrative buildings.

Visit to the Village Museum, an impressive open-air museum in Herăstrău Park, bringing together traditional Romanian houses, wooden churches, mills and other buildings from different parts of the country.

In the evening, the Christmas magic of Bucharest!

Visit to the Christmas market on Constitution Square, outside the magnificent Palace of Parliament. Experience the festive atmosphere among beautifully decorated Christmas stalls, sparkling lights, festive music and the scent of cinnamon and mulled wine. Discover original gifts, handmade souvenirs, Christmas decorations and traditional Romanian treats.

The Christmas market is a wonderful place to enjoy the spirit of the coming holidays, sample local specialities and create unforgettable memories in the heart of Romania’s capital.

Return to the hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 2

Breakfast. Departure for Slănic in Prahova County, a well-known spa resort famous for its salt deposits and natural sights.

Visit to Unirea Salt Mine, an impressive underground world with huge salt chambers reaching heights of 50 m. Access to the mine is by specialised transport. The underground temperature is around 13°C, so warm clothing is recommended.

Departure for Mogoșoaia Palace, the former residence of Prince Constantin Brâncoveanu, beside a picturesque lake near Bucharest. The palace impresses with its distinctive Brâncovenesc architecture, combining Romanian, Venetian and Oriental elements.

Departure for Bulgaria at 16:00. Arrival in Sofia late in the evening.

Minimum number of participants: 35.

Notification if the minimum is not reached or the tour does not take place: 7 days before departure.
