Day-by-day itinerary

07:00 – departure from Sofia, Serdika Bus Station.

07:10 – pick-up at the OMV petrol station on Tsarigradsko Shose Boulevard, by the Mladost 1 district.

09:00 – pick-up in Plovdiv at the OMV petrol station in front of Hotel Sankt Peterburg.

Continue via Asenovgrad to Krastova Gora. Visit Holy Trinity Monastery in the Central Rhodopes at an altitude of 1,545 metres. The site is surrounded by beech forests and offers mountain views.

In the afternoon, visit Bachkovo Monastery. Founded in the 11th century, it is Bulgaria's second-largest monastery. The complex includes three churches, an ossuary and a refectory. The main church houses an icon of the Virgin Mary that believers venerate as miraculous.

Return to Plovdiv, with drop-off at Hotel Trimontium. Continue to Sofia, arriving at Serdika Bus Station in the evening. The agency may change the order of the programme.
