Day 1
FIRST DAY – 30.12.2021: departure at 06:00 from Sofia Central Bus Station, sector 43; boarding starts at 05:30. Pick-up in Plovdiv outside Trimontium Hotel at 08:00 and at Haskovo Bus Station at 09:30 for travellers wishing to board there. Short stop in Edirne to visit Selimiye Mosque, built by Mimar Sinan in the XVI century, and the Bulgarian Church of St George. Continue to Istanbul, check in and enjoy free time. Overnight stay.
Day 2
SECOND DAY – 31.12.2021: breakfast. Panoramic tour of Istanbul with a Bulgarian-speaking local guide: a meeting of two continents, the bridges across the Golden Horn, the new European quarter, Dolmabahçe Palace from outside, crossing to Asia via the Bosphorus suspension bridge, Çamlıca Hill and a stop at Sapphire, one of Europe's tallest buildings. The top floor has a panoramic terrace and 4D cinema, offering views of the metropolis from 236 m; terrace admission approximately 50 Turkish lira. Free time to explore Sultanahmet Square, the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia from outside, and the Hippodrome. Optional Hagia Sophia and Topkapı Palace visit with a Bulgarian-speaking local guide: BGN 26 plus admission, booked and paid in Bulgaria in advance, not locally. The price includes reservation and Bulgarian-speaking guidance during the visit. Palace admission, about 100 Turkish lira, and compulsory headsets, about €3.50, are paid locally. Minimum 15 participants. Conservative clothing is required at Hagia Sophia; women must cover their heads with a scarf or shawl. In the evening, optional New Year's gala dinner aboard a Bosphorus cruise boat or at an entertainment venue with oriental dancing, at additional cost. Overnight stay.
Day 3
THIRD DAY – 01.01.2022: breakfast. Free time or optional Bosphorus cruise with a Bulgarian-speaking local guide, minimum 25 participants, BGN 40 per person; booked and paid in Bulgaria, not locally. Optional afternoon visit to Dolmabahçe Palace with Bulgarian-speaking local guide: BGN 26 plus admission, booked and paid in Bulgaria in advance, not locally. This includes reservation and Bulgarian-speaking guidance; palace admission of 90 Turkish lira is paid locally. Minimum 15 participants. Optional evening entertainment venue with dinner and oriental dancing: BGN 60 per adult and BGN 30 per child up to 11. Overnight stay.
Day 4
FOURTH DAY – 02.01.2022: breakfast. Visit the Iron Church of St Stephen. Opportunity to visit Miniatürk Park, with 108 famous Turkish attractions at 1:25 scale; admission 20 Turkish lira. Afternoon departure via Istanbul – Edirne – Plovdiv – Sofia. Evening arrival at Sofia Central Bus Station, Parking sector.
