Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1: Sofia – Zelinski Monastery – Botevgrad – Skravena – Mezdra – Sofia

08:00 – departure from Sofia, Serdika Bus Station, by tourist coach. Travel towards Botevgrad.

Zelinski Monastery of the Nativity of the Mother of God. Visit the monastery in the Zelin area and enjoy time to look around or pray in its peaceful setting.

Botevgrad. Walk through the town centre and see its landmark Clock Tower. Visit the History Museum, subject to its opening hours, followed by free time for an independent stroll.

Skravena. Visit the memorial ossuary of members of Hristo Botev’s revolutionary detachment. Continue to Skravena Monastery of St Nicholas and take time to explore the monastery grounds.

Mezdra. Free time for lunch at your own expense. Visit Kaleto Archaeological Complex on a rocky ridge above the Iskar River, with traces of settlements and fortifications from different periods.

Return to Sofia. Expected arrival at Serdika Bus Station around 19:00, depending on traffic.

Important information

Scheduled departure: 7 November 2026. Base price: €30 per person (BGN 58.67). This fare applies to the shared group on the advertised date and is not a private-trip fare.

Full payment is due when booking the scheduled departure. The shared group requires at least 35 travellers. If the minimum is not reached, travellers will be notified 2 days before departure.

Date of your choice: select “Request your own date”, then enter your preferred date and party size. For a private group, transport, price, included services and the language of assistance are agreed individually. Sending an inquiry does not confirm a booking. The minimum of 35 travellers applies only to the advertised shared group.

A translated itinerary does not automatically include guiding in that language. Assistance in another language must be requested separately.

The order of visits may change according to traffic, attraction opening hours and religious services. The return time is approximate. Travellers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Wear comfortable closed shoes with good grip and clothing suitable for monastery visits.

Guiding in English, German or Russian is not included in the base fare. Indicative supplement: €150 in total for your group for the day trip, for each selected language. This service is optional; availability and the final amount are confirmed in advance in the offer.
