Kazanlak is a principal centre of the Rose Valley and Bulgarian rose cultivation. The Rose Museum tells the story of growing oil-bearing roses and producing rose oil. The area also preserves important Thracian heritage. The UNESCO-listed Kazanlak Tomb connects the town with the art and funerary traditions of the ancient Thracians.
