The Spice Bazaar, also known as the Egyptian Bazaar, is a historic market in Eminönü. Its shops sell spices, tea, dried fruit and local specialities. Colourful displays and distinctive aromas make a walk through the bazaar an introduction to Istanbul’s culinary character.
The bazaar originated as part of the New Mosque complex. Neighbouring market streets continue the culinary tradition with olives, honey, dairy products and kaymak, connecting monumental architecture with everyday life in Eminönü.
