Sinaia

Sinaia is a mountain resort in the Prahova River valley, below the Bucegi Mountains. The town takes its name from Sinaia Monastery, founded in 1695. King Carol I chose the area for his summer residence, Peleș Castle, and villas and public buildings developed around it. Sinaia combines royal history, monastic heritage and the landscapes of the Carpathians.
