Cookie policy

Contents

This policy explains cookies and similar technologies on the multilingual website https://www.globaltour-bg.com. It helps you understand what may be saved on your device, why it is used and how to manage it.

Last updated: 12 October 2026. When visiting our main website https://www.globaltour.bg or an external service, also read its privacy information; the tools used may differ.

1. Website operator

The website is operated by Global Consult BG EOOD (Глобал Консулт БГ ЕООД), company identification number 200106758, trading as Global Tour. It holds travel agent licence No. PKK-01-6157 and tour operator licence No. PK-01-6955.

European and Bulgarian rules on storing or accessing information on a device apply, including Directive 2002/58/EC as amended by Directive 2009/136/EC. Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) also applies where personal data is processed.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text records saved by your browser for a website and potentially sent with later requests to the relevant domain. They may maintain a session, remember a choice or support measurement and tracking.

Session cookies normally last for the current session. Persistent cookies have a specified lifetime or remain until deleted, according to their settings. First-party cookies relate to the visited website; third-party cookies relate to another provider, for example through embedded content.

localStorage and sessionStorage are similar browser storage tools, but are not cookies. Their data is not automatically sent with every request; their use is also subject to the applicable rules. A cookie or storage identifier may be personal information if it allows someone to be recognised or linked to an individual.

3. Categories by purpose

Strictly necessary technologies — for a function requested by the user, session management or security where the service cannot be provided without them. The law permits an exception from prior consent for genuinely necessary technologies.

Functional preferences — for example, remembering language or saving a plan at your request. Whether consent is needed depends on the purpose and necessity; not every convenience feature is strictly necessary.

Analytics and advertising technologies — to measure visits, profile users or personalise advertising. Where consent is required, it must be obtained in advance through a clear, informed choice.

First-party or third-party describes the provider, not whether the technology is necessary. A statistical purpose does not automatically make data anonymous.

4. Storage used by the multilingual website

Language — the localStorage record global-tour-language remembers your chosen language until site data is deleted or the choice is replaced.

Homepage slideshow — the localStorage record global-tour:hero-last-photo:v1 remembers the last displayed image to vary the next opening. It remains until deleted or replaced.

Individual itinerary — the localStorage record global-tour:individual-trip-plan:v1 and saved variants global-tour:individual-trip-saved-plans:v1 support work on your plan. They remain locally until removed through the available functions or browser settings.

Form recovery — sessionStorage may save entered details when moving to an updated programme. Restoration is valid for 30 minutes; the record is removed when read. Inquiry submission recovery details may remain in the current session until the operation is completed or the data is cleared.

Session storage is normally cleared when the relevant tab closes; session restoration and browser restrictions can affect this behaviour. On shared devices, remove locally saved plans and details after use.

Submitted inquiries are stored separately in the agency's system. Clearing your browser does not erase them; use the contacts in the Privacy Policy to exercise your rights.

5. External services and content

When an embedded Google Maps map loads, your browser connects to Google. The provider may process an IP address and other technical information and use its own cookies according to the service, your account and settings. Programme maps may load when the page opens, without a separate consent button.

The website uses Geoapify through server requests for address suggestions and routing. Entered addresses or coordinates needed for the service are transmitted. This is not equivalent to placing a Geoapify cookie in your browser.

External images and other resources may connect to their providers. After following a social network, map or other website link, that service's rules apply.

Native statistics are optional. Google Analytics 4 can be connected separately and loads only after permission. Choices and retention periods are described in the statistics section below.

6. Consent and choice

Continuing to browse, silence or allowing cookies in general browser settings is not consent to optional tracking.

Where technologies require consent, the choice must be freely given and specific, with refusal available and withdrawal as easy as giving consent. Marketing consent is separate from an inquiry or a contract.

Manage statistics using “Statistics settings” on the website. Cookies and other site data can also be managed in your browser. Use the available deletion functions for saved plans. Blocking third-party cookies does not stop every external resource.

7. Browser controls

You can delete data for this website, restrict third-party cookies and change permissions through privacy settings. Menus vary by version and device; current manufacturer instructions are:

  1. Google Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies. To delete data, use “Cookies and other site data”: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647?hl=en.
  2. Microsoft Edge — Settings → Privacy, search, and services; open the cookie and site data controls: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/edge/manage-cookies-in-microsoft-edge-view-allow-block-delete-and-use.
  3. Mozilla Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/clear-cookies-and-site-data-firefox.
  4. Safari on Mac — Safari → Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data: https://support.apple.com/guide/safari/manage-cookies-and-website-data-sfri11471/mac. For iPhone and iPad, use the instructions for your device.
  5. Opera — Settings → Privacy and security; find the cookie and site data settings: https://help.opera.com/en/latest/web-preferences/#cookies.

Restricting or clearing data may remove a remembered language, local plan or session and affect external maps. Reading public information and sending an inquiry do not depend on advertising cookies.

8. Additional external tools

The Google Analytics opt-out add-on is available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/. It covers supported Google Analytics functions and does not block all cookies, external maps or advertising services.

Your Online Choices offers choices about behavioural advertising by participating providers: https://www.youronlinechoices.com/bg/%D0%B2%D0%B0%D1%88%D0%B8%D1%8F%D1%82-%D0%B8%D0%B7%D0%B1%D0%BE%D1%80. Its coverage and operation depend on the provider, browser and device. These tools do not replace the consent choices required on the website itself.

9. Contact and updates

Questions: info@globaltour.bg; telephone +359 2 868 0 500. We update this policy and its revision date when features change.

For personal data processing, retention, recipients and your rights, see https://www.globaltour-bg.com/pages/privacy-policy?lang=en.

10. Visit statistics and tracking choices

Native statistics start only after your explicit permission. We measure public page views, sessions and unique browsers, language, device type, traffic source and approximate country/region supplied by the infrastructure. Location is not a GPS coordinate and may be inaccurate. Administration, previews and recognisable bots are excluded.

The browser stores global-tour:statistics:consent:v1 (a choice for 180 days), global-tour:statistics:visitor:v1 (a random identifier for 30 days) and global-tour:statistics:session:v1 (a session until 30 minutes without a new page view). No statistics identifiers are created without permission. If local storage is unavailable, the choice and identifiers may work only in the current tab.

The server stores hashed random identifiers, time, a public path without personal parameters, language, device, country/region and source category/domain. The module does not store raw IP addresses, names, emails or form data and does not infer gender or age. Records have an intended retention period of 90 days; bounded cleanup runs when visits arrive. Abuse prevention uses a separate hourly hash derived from the connection address, with cleanup after 48 hours. Hashed identifiers are pseudonymous rather than necessarily anonymous data.

Google Analytics 4 is optional and runs only when the agency has configured an identifier and you allow statistics. Demographic and advertising signals require a separate choice. Without that permission, advertising storage, advertising user data and personalisation are denied. Google may use _ga and _ga_… cookies and process technical data including an IP address under https://policies.google.com/privacy. GA4 retention depends on the relevant property settings; any international transfers depend on the provider’s applicable terms and safeguards. Gender and age reports are aggregated, may be missing or restricted by Google and do not describe every visitor.

Use “Statistics settings” at the bottom of a public page to allow, refuse or withdraw your choice at any time. Withdrawal stops future measurement and clears statistics identifiers and GA4 cookies in this browser; it does not automatically erase earlier server records. Saved itineraries and necessary preferences remain separate. This choice controls statistics; external maps and services are described elsewhere in this policy. To exercise your rights, contact info@globaltour.bg.

Measuring website actions

With analytics permission and measurement enabled, we record programme opens, searches, searches without results and enquiry steps: starting the form, attempting submission and confirmed receipt. We store the action type, page path without query or parameters, language, date and a pseudonymous session identifier. This report does not store search words or form contents. Events are retained for up to 90 days. A session with a form start but no recorded success does not prove travel abandonment. Change your choice using statistics settings; after refusal we send no new actions.
