I. Scope and applicable terms

These terms concern day trips. For travel lasting less than 24 hours without an overnight stay, the special package travel and linked travel arrangements regime does not apply under Article 79(4)(1) of the Bulgarian Tourism Act. Mandatory consumer protection and applicable transport rules remain in force.

If a particular journey falls within the package travel regime, the relevant statutory rights and package travel terms apply. The programme and contract specify services, price, minimum participant numbers and special requirements. Private and individual trips follow their agreed arrangements.

II.1. Reservations and bookings

II.1.1. Bookings are made at Global Tour offices or through authorised travel agencies with payment of 100% of the trip price, unless the offer states otherwise. An inquiry through the website alone is not a confirmed booking.

II.2. Required documents

II.2.1. Travellers must carry a valid identity or travel document accepted for the full route and their nationality, together with any required visas and health or insurance documents. An identity card is sufficient only for destinations accepting it. Funds must be available for announced local expenses and any applicable destination requirements.

Children under 18 require their own valid document. When travelling without parents or with one parent, the necessary consent of the absent parent, or both absent parents, or an applicable replacement document must be supplied. Notarisation, translation and copies are provided where the route requires them. The organiser supplies relevant information before the contract.

II.3. Transport and included services

II.3.1. The route, attractions, included visits and transfers, transport type, date, departure and return times and locations are specified in the programme and information provided. The programme is supplied when booking and forms part of the agreed terms. Changes by mutual agreement are confirmed in writing on a durable medium; final payment alone does not replace explicit consent to a change.

II.3.2. Commercial resale of purchased places by the traveller is not permitted. Replacement by another traveller is governed by section VI.7 and is not automatically treated as commercial resale.

III. Cancellation, changes and complaints

III.1. Cancellation by the traveller 30 or more days before departure incurs no cancellation charge and entitles the traveller to a 100% refund of the price paid. Notice is submitted on a durable medium to the booking office or info@globaltour.bg. Failure to pay by an agreed deadline may lead to cancellation after notification in accordance with the contract.

III.1.1. From 29 to 15 days before departure, 70% of the price is refunded.

III.1.2. From 14 to 7 days before departure, 30% of the price is refunded.

III.1.3. From 6 to 3 days before departure, 20% of the price is refunded.

III.1.4. Less than 3 days before departure, the price paid is not refunded. This scale does not restrict any applicable statutory right to fee-free termination or reimbursement. Refunds due are made in the contract’s payment currency and through its payment method within 10 days of cancellation, unless another lawful method is agreed.

III.1.5. Problems during the trip should be reported promptly to the guide or organiser so that a solution can be sought locally. Complaints are accepted in writing or by telephone and are recommended within 14 days after return, with a description and available evidence. This administrative period does not extinguish statutory claims. A reply is provided within one month of receipt.

If significant changes become necessary for reasons outside the organiser’s control, clients are notified promptly and may accept the change, choose an offered alternative or terminate without financial penalties. Minor organisational changes are communicated under the contract and applicable law.

III.2. Standard group coach day trips require at least 35 travellers unless the programme states otherwise. This minimum does not automatically apply to private or individual journeys. If numbers are insufficient, the organiser may cancel with notification no later than 48 hours before the start and refund all payments.

IV. Liability

IV.1. Global Consult BG EOOD is responsible for the quality and performance of included services under the contract and applicable law.

IV.2. Travellers must observe meeting times and locations, safety instructions, document requirements and local laws. Anyone late, lost or unable to attend must promptly contact the guide. Consequences of services unused through the traveller’s fault are assessed in the circumstances; required assistance and statutory rights remain.

IV.3. Liability for damage relating to the traveller’s conduct, unforeseeable actions of an unrelated third party or unavoidable circumstances is determined from proven facts and applicable rules.

IV.4. For circumstances outside the parties’ control whose consequences cannot be avoided with reasonable measures, the organiser notifies clients and takes appropriate action. A breakdown, delay or change does not automatically remove all obligations.

IV.5. Compensation and its limits follow applicable law and, where relevant, international conventions governing the transport concerned. Contract terms do not exclude mandatory rights, liability for personal injury or cases where the law prohibits limitation. Where the package travel regime applies, Article 91 of the Tourism Act also governs any limits.

V. Insurance

V.1. Insurance for an ordinary day trip within Bulgaria is not automatically included or described as universally required by law. The programme may provide cover or additional requirements.

V.2. The organiser requires mountain insurance for advertised mountain routes. The stated basic price is EUR 1.53 per day, converted from BGN 3 at the official rate of EUR 1 = BGN 1.95583. The applicable premium and cover are confirmed by the programme and issued policy.

V.3. Travel Assistance Abroad insurance is arranged at an extra charge where provided for the particular trip. For contracts covered by Euroins AD policy No. 020001000, cover includes assistance, medical expenses following accident or acute illness, medical transport and repatriation within the policy’s conditions and limits. The issued certificate and full conditions specify insured persons, period, exclusions and assistance telephone number.

Euroins contact details: 1592 Sofia, 43 Hristofor Kolumb Boulevard; central telephone 0700 17 241; contact@euroins.com; https://www.euroins.bg/contact. In an emergency, use the assistance number on the issued policy.

V.4. Global Consult BG EOOD holds Tour Operator Liability insurance under Article 97 of the Tourism Act: policy No. 13052610000333/12.05.2026 with Lev Ins AD, valid until 31 May 2027. Insolvency cover follows applicable law and the policy. Contact: Sofia, 67A Simeonovsko Shose Boulevard; +359 2 404 94 92; 0800 15 333; info@lev-ins.com; https://www.lev-ins.com/.

V.5. Additional insurance may cover cancellation, assistance, repatriation, accident, illness or death, according to the selected product. It can be requested on the day of the contract under Euroins conditions. The premium depends on the trip price, deadlines and cover. Only insured risks and eligible non-refundable expenses are reimbursed; reimbursement is not automatic for every cancellation.

VI. Transitional and final provisions

VI.1. Paper contracts are made in two identical copies, one for each party. Another durable medium may be used as permitted by law.

VI.2. Time limits are calculated under applicable legal rules.

VI.3. The programme and supplied contractual information form part of the contract where applicable.

VI.4. Correspondence uses the traveller’s stated postal and email addresses. Contact changes must be notified promptly.

VI.5. Receipt of the programme, insurance documents and medical and health information is recorded when they are actually supplied. Publication of this page is not a traveller’s signature or declaration that they have already received them.

VI.6. The parties arrange correspondence through agreed contacts. Notification and receipt are proved under applicable law; sending alone does not always establish receipt.

VI.7. The traveller may nominate a replacement meeting the trip requirements with prior notice to the organiser. The change is confirmed according to availability and actual costs. The original and replacement traveller are jointly liable for the price due and justified replacement costs. Where the journey falls within the package travel regime, the statutory transfer right under Article 86 of the Tourism Act applies.

Edition dated 12 October 2026. These terms do not retroactively change existing contracts. Mandatory law takes precedence.
